Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about formats, access, equipment, certificates, and policies. If you don’t see your question, send it via the form.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. You receive a course completion certificate after finishing all required assignments and passing the final review. You can download it anytime from your profile.
Are courses live or self-paced?
We offer both. Self-paced courses unlock immediately and can be completed on your timeline. Live cohorts include a published start date, weekly sessions, and deadlines to keep you on track.
Do I need professional equipment?
No. Any reliable camera is enough (DSLR, mirrorless, compact, or a modern smartphone). The focus is on story structure, timing, ethical coverage, and delivering consistent output under constraints.
What is your refund policy?
Full refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not submitted your first assignment. If you’re in a live cohort, we recommend requesting the refund before the first live session.
How long do I keep access?
Self-paced courses include 12 months of access from the purchase date. Live cohorts include access for the duration of the cohort plus 12 months to rewatch sessions and revisit materials.
What’s the time commitment per week?
Most learners spend 3–6 hours/week: 60–90 minutes of learning materials, 1–2 shooting sessions, and time for selection, sequencing, and upload. Live cohorts may add review sessions.
How do assignments and feedback work?
You upload an edit (sequence + captions) and a short intent statement. Feedback covers narrative clarity, ethics, technical consistency, and delivery standards. Live cohorts also include group critique.
Is this suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. If you can operate your camera and transfer files, you can start. We introduce core principles (sequencing, captions, ethics, shooting plans) and build from there.
